A data center is a physical facility that houses data and critical applications. It usually contains servers, storage systems, routers, and switches among many others. Most importantly, you need to think about your staff that shall be working in the area. The temperature should be kept reasonable at all times in accordance with workplace safety guidelines set by the local government.

The hot aisle containment itself shall become friendlier for equipment that’s outside of the containment facility. Supply air is also distributed more accurately and hot air is delivered back to the facility. 

You can also reduce the need for a raised floor, which can reduce your overall installation expenses. But if you do have it in place, any leakage that goes through the tiles isn’t wasted. Overall, it can be more efficient as it helps you enjoy free air cooling for several hours. 

These are reasons why hot aisle containment is being implemented in data centers. Of course, it also has its challenges. That’s why you need to work with a fully experienced team to minimize associated risks.
